New study programs accredited at MU

The Austrian Accreditation Council has approved the accreditation of four new study programs at MODUL University Vienna.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International Management is a three year full-time degree program where students gain state of the art management competencies and leadership skills. The program approaches management as a universal subject and, as such, attracts students interested in a wide range of fields including economics, psychology, sociology, political science, and mathematics. Starting in fall 2013, the program is capped at a maximum number of 60 students. Early application is highly recommended!

Also scheduled to begin in fall 2013 is our first post-graduate study program, the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business and Socioeconomic Sciences. It is a four year, full time study program that trains future scholars and researchers to contribute new scientific knowledge in their respective areas of specialization.

Organized as a two-year part-time program designed especially for industry professionals wanting to advance their careers, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been re-designed and reaccredited, with the option of pursuing a general MBA or selecting an optional major in New Media and Information, Public Governance, Tourism Management or Sustainable Development. The latter is in cooperation with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU).

A four year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations has been given the go-ahead, and is currently in development.

MU President Karl Wöber said "We are very pleased with the accreditation of our new Bachelor of Science in International Management which will allow students to start a career in a much wider range of different fields. A real milestone is also the accreditation of our PhD in Business and Socioeconomic Sciences, which is a clear recognition of the faculty's research capacities and which allows MODUL University Vienna to train future scientists."
