New MODUL University Working Paper Series

MU is pleased to announce the establishment of the ‘’MODUL University Working Paper Series’’ to promote a more unified dissemination of the research conducted at MODUL University Vienna and to add to the university’s research documentation.

The series aims to disseminate pre-publication research outputs from MODUL University faculty and affiliated researchers on a roughly quarterly basis. Accepted papers will be available on our website as a new category on the Research/Publications Section and uploaded to the online repository Social Sciences Research Network, since this free repository was deemed most suitable to reflect all areas of research covered at MODUL University.

The project was conceived by Dr. Ulrich Gunter of the Department of Tourism and Service Management. ‘’I was thinking that something was still missing here at MU that almost every research institution, not only in Vienna but also throughout the world, has - a working paper series,’’ he says.

With the support of Prof. Harvey Goldstein, MU Vice President and Director of Research, as co-editor, the project has now come to fruition with the inaugural paper ‘’International Ecotourism and Economic Development in Central America and the Caribbean’’ by Dr. Gunter, M. Graziano Ceddia (MODUL University Vienna, currently on sabbatical) and Bernhard Tröster (Austrian Foundation for Development Research).

Future papers are already in works, with a number of colleagues preparing submissions to in the new series. Stay tuned to the Research/Publications section of the MODUL University Website!
