New Head of MODUL Career

MODUL University Vienna is proud to introduce to you Hani El Sharkawi, Head of Modul Career. El Sharkawi is supporting current students through the internship period, offering career opportunities to Alumni and assisting employers who are looking for qualified employees as well as employer branding.

Hani El Sharkawi has joined the MODUL Career team on the 1st of October. Prior to his appointment, he spent 2 years with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. First, he worked in Singapore and then as Hotel Manager in charge of opening Shangri-la Hotel, Vancouver. He returned to Austria at the end of 2009 in order to start studying for a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Competencies at Danube University in Krems. Hani has a multicultural background and has lived and worked in many cities around the world.

A graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Alexandria University in 1994 (Bachelor of Science), Hani El Sharkawi has worked in luxury hotels throughout Austria, France, the Czech Republic, Canada and Kazakhstan, including Hotel Sacher Wien and the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris. In 2004, he was named Young Hotelier of the Year by the General Managers' Council of Viennese Deluxe Hotels. From 2004 to 2007, he was President of the Austrian Section of A.I.C.R (Amicale Internationale des Sous-Directeurs et Chefs de Réception des Grands
