New BBA Program Manager - Michael Jordan, MA

Modul University Vienna is pleased to welcome Michael Jordan, MA, as BBA Program Manager in the Academic Office. The newest addition to our international staff, he comes to us from his home town of Oklahoma City, USA.

Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from the University of Oklahoma; it was during these studies that he had his first taste of Europe. On the strength of his grades and application, he was awarded the President's International Travel Fellowship and spent a year studying abroad at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, whetting his palette for future travels to the Old World.

His interests didn’t stop north of the Mediterranean; rather he set his sights father south. To obtain a Master's Degree in International Studies & Global Affairs, also from the University of Oklahoma, he focused on grassroots efforts to promote sustainable development in Kenya.

Michael’s university education led to administrative positions within the scholarly realm, and in his last employment he was the Head of Academics at the Oklahoma City campus of DeVry University. His experience in the International Student Services Office at the University of Oklahoma, which assists over 2,000 international students with immigration and academic matters, additionally helped to prepare him for his new program management tasks at MU. An educator himself, he has also taught Business English for Inlingua Sprachschule in Vienna.

His love for Vienna and its high quality of life has brought him to the city three times, previously taking up residence from 2002-2005 and in 2009. Michael is an avid soccer (aka football) fan and has already joined the team ‘Lokomotiv Alt Erlaa’ in Vienna. A frequent traveler with a passion for both big cities and beaches, he learned the ways of the hula (or at least got a plastic lei) in Hawaii just prior to moving back to Vienna.

Despite what his name leads people to believe, he is not all that great at basketball.
