MU students on exchange semester
December 05, 2010
Thomas Kuchling (BBA Student at MU) is currently on an exchange semester at Victoria University, Melbourne (Australia):
"'G’day!' – That’s what you hear when you arrive in Australia! I'm spending my exchange semester at Melbourne’s Victoria University – and it's an awesome experience.
Victoria University, with some 50,000 students and 10 campuses, offers great study options and some impressive lecturers. Even better though were my fellow students! I met heaps of people from all around the world, who are easy going and quite laid back (a mandatory mindset for Australia). There’s also a very active social life – of course only after finishing your studies. ;-)
Moreover, Melbourne - and the whole of Australia - is a great destination, full of diverse food, many different travel hotspots, unique animals (wombats rock!), and is just heaps of fun! Melbourne is probably the most "European" city of Australia regarding culture and weather. There's a great nightlife and live music everywhere, all the time. And the best part: when semester ends the travelling starts! Who needs winter..."
Pia Kapounek (MU BBA-graduate of 2010) spent one semester at University of Florida's Rosen College, Orlando (USA):
"I was MU-exchange Student at UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management in Orlando, Florida. My semester abroad didn’t just broaden my academic horizons and give me the opportunity to study at a great university in a beautiful environment – I was also lucky to be taught by extraordinarily helpful and bright academics as well as meet fellow students with whom I am still in contact.

The bond of friendship is a most valuable thing, and I am lucky to be able to say that since my exchange I have found a "second family" and can call more than one country: my home."
