MU launches the Modul University News Network

Modul University has introduced a new way to reach out with today’s launch of the Modul University News Network (MUNN). The online news magazine is the brainchild of Andreas Eder, MU’s Head of Marketing and Communication, who wanted to create a bi-monthly feature which would address issues interesting for past, present, and future students - where most importantly- students are the stars.

The flexible format consists of the following four reoccurring categories, conducted via formal interviews, on-site reports, and studio sessions:

·         Campus Report

·         Behind MU

·         Student Life LIVE

·         Career Corner

This inaugural episode is moderated by students Simon Hala and Evgenia Antonova, and features interviews conducted by Simon and student reporters Farrah Makki and Maya Loacker. Representative of the wide range of nationalities at MU, the international cast are Austrian, Russian, Syrian, and Brazilian – and interview two Austrians, a Canadian, a Montenegrin, a Dutch girl, and an American!

In ‘Behind MU’, Farrah sits down with Andreas Eder to find out firsthand his impetus to create MUNN, and in the first ‘Campus Report’ Simon visits the new students at a zip line and rope climbing park during Orientation Week to hear from the newest Modulians and Student Service Centre head man Jesse Alexander.

Farrah talks with Professor Harvey Goldstein in his office and Simon accompanies him indoor climbing, and in ‘Student Life LIVE’, Maya chats with BBA student Niki Wendl, the co-writer and composer of the Modul University song, about making the official music video at MU this past summer – and tries her own hand at playing along!

The MUNN is filmed and produced by Attems and Friends, a video production company headed by MU alumnus and businessman, Matteo Attems and his co-managing director Martin Siuda who is the co-director and executive producer of MUNN.
