May 14, 2013
MODUL University Vienna has teamed up once again with the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU), and the Hernstein Institute for Management Leadership to offer Executive Seminars for professionals.
These seminars are intended for professionals looking to improve their knowledge and skills though seminars such as Managing People and Organizations, Tourism Economics, Social Media Intelligence and Stakeholder Engagement, Sustainable Development, Personal Development for Executives, and more. Course participants can tailor their own program by choosing courses to fit their specific needs at one, two, or all three institutions.
This new cooperation comes on the heels of the first MU/BOKU partnership, the joint MBA in Sustainable Development. MU has also collaborated with the Hernstein Institute on previous seminars, but this marks the first time the three institutions have come together. Prof. Dr. Karl Wöber, president of MODUL University, said “Through the intensification of cooperation in training and continuing education these top universities, we are setting a new standard in the market and working closer together. The integration of the renowned Hernstein Institute enhances the value of the cooperation even further with its experience in corporate training.”
Students and alumni from MODUL University Vienna receive 30% discounts for the training programs of the Hernstein Institute. Furthermore, BOKU students and alumni as well as Hernstein participants can book any seminar from MODUL University Vienna for €1,000 (17% discount). For the first time it is also possible to attend selected executive seminars offered in cooperation between the Hernstein Institute and MODUL University Vienna and later credit them towards an MBA at MODUL University Vienna.
“The new cooperation benefits not only individuals, but above all companies that want to make a well-directed investment in the development of their employees,” President Wöber adds. “Few companies finance an entire MBA program for their employees - instead they can now train motivated employees in select seminars that at the same time also may count towards a future MBA. With creditable ECTS we have managed to establish a widely desired flexibility.”
The first seminar offered in cooperation with Hernstein that can also already by credited towards a future MBA starts on June 3, 2013. Registration for the executive seminar “Personal Development for Executives” is possible until May 27 2013.
