MODUL University @ CIS Eastern Europe Tour & CIS Forum in Monaco 2010

MODUL University Vienna was a proud participant in this year’s Council of International Schools (CIS) Eastern Europe Tour (10-16 November). Alexander Bari, our team representative for International Affairs, hit the road for an intensive tour schedule of 4 countries in 6 days, including stops in Sofia, Prague, Belgrade and Bucharest.

Alexander was joined by 19 other university reps from well-known universities around the world. The CIS network arranged several fairs at partner institutions such as The American College of Sofia and The International Schools of Prague, Belgrade and Bucharest. Besides the promotion of international higher education in Europe and the US, workshop sessions for high school students were held in order to provide them with valuable information on such topics as “the college search process,” “how students are selected,” and more.

In Alexander’s words, "I was pleased by the high number of eager young students interested in our Tourism and Hospitality Management BBA program – especially in Eastern Europe, which is a growing tourism market."

The CIS Eastern Europe Tour was followed up by the CIS Forum, which took place in Monaco (17-19 November). The CIS Forum connects international high school counsellors worldwide with universities which also focus on international higher education.

In addition to the traditional higher education fair, numerous sessions focusing on specific topics for education professionals in the field of admission, student recruitment and high school counselling took place.

This year’s CIS Forum provided an excellent platform to promote MODUL University to the international higher education community, and a chance to foster existing relationships as well as to create new networks.
