Jovana Peric joins MU as the MBA Program Manager

The Academic Office is pleased to welcome Jovana Peric as the new MBA program manager, taking over from Verena Peer who is on maternity leave.

Jovana comes to us from Belgrade, Serbia, where she earned a Bachelor of and an MSc with a focus on Human Resources from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Belgrade.

After her studies she began her career in the IT industry, but after a short period decided to head in a more business-oriented direction and pursue an MBA. After researching the different business schools in Serbia, she selected Cotrugli Business School to apply for the Executive MBA program.

As good fortune would have it, they were hiring for a Corporate Relations/Enrolment Manager and offered Jovana the position alongside her academic studies. It was a period of pioneer work and positioning the MBA school in the Serbian market, which became a leading business school in the Southeastern Europe (SEE) region after a couple of years. She quickly proved her aptitude for management and within a short time was managing the Serbian campus.

Through her responsibilities and own Executive MBA studies, she gained experience in every segment of an MBA school, including managing the staff, program, marketing and sales activities, as well as presenting the school and programs at various events and organizations not only in Serbia, but in the entire SEE Region.

This variety of activities provided excellent networking opportunities, and Jovana was able to build strong contacts in the economic, educational and international organizations, which will be a great benefit to the international business character of MODUL University.

After managing the Serbian campus of Cotrugli for three years, private reasons brought her to Vienna two years ago, where she was the Cotrugli Country Manager for Austria until joining MU this September.

As MBA program manager, Jovana is responsible for such diverse tasks as communication with internal and external lecturers, advising students, program administration, and contact with companies regarding executive education.

‘’Since I have long cultivated a passion for every segment in higher education institutions, I am sure that I will enjoy serving the university community,’’ she says.

In her free time she enjoys the family life in Vienna with her husband and three-year-old son, Filip.

Welcome Jovana!
