greenEXPO11: MU in the Futurelab
June 26, 2011
From the 24th to the 26th of June, MODUL University Vienna will be participating in greenEXPO11. The event’s goal is to paint possibilities for the world of the future, through showing visitors ways to lead a conscious, sustainable, and happy life, while showing consideration for the planet.
Ingrained in our philosophy and taught in our programs, MU’s focus on sustainability will be on display in this ‘world of wonder’. The event showcases innovative green technology at a number of info-points, a ‘health avenue’, Kids World for the youngsters, exhibitor booths like MU's, and much more. During the spectacular three-day program, chock-full of events featuring influential speakers and celebrities, visitors will have the chance to test electric and hybrid cars, e-bikes, learn about renewable energy sources, hear lectures from top scientists about climate change and the earth’s future, and experience a variety of other Green Living thrills.
Situated in the igloo-styled Futurelab, the MU booth will be manned by members of our Sustainability Committee and students from the MSc in Sustainable Development, Management and Policy. Under the umbrella of the Wirtschaftskammer Wien, MU partners will also be housed in the ‘igloo’ which will feature a drink bar and networking zone in the center.
You can visit us from 9:30am and 6pm on Heldenplatz in the heart of Vienna, between the historic Hapsburg-era Hofburg and the green expanse of the Volksgarten. Entry is free, and so is the knowledge!
