Congratulations to the Class of 2011!

Hats flew on Kahlenberg recently as MODUL University Vienna’s newest graduates celebrated in style. On July 15th, 48 students of the BBA and MBA programs received their diplomas in front of family and friends to mark the culmination of years of study and hard work. On stage to present the diplomas and congratulate each graduate were Vienna Chamber of Commerce President KommR Brigitte Jank, university President Dr. Karl Wöber, MBA NMIT program dean Dr. Arno Scharl, and BBA program dean Dr. Dagmar Lund-Durlacher.

The Class of 2011 was sent on its way with some words of wisdom from commencement speaker Dr. Dan Fesenmaier of Temple University in Philadelphia, an MU partner university. BBA valedictorians David Leonard and Clara Mayer recalled the memories of their three years at MU while MBA speakers Thomas Lutz and Alexander Rehbogen reflected on their academic experience. Just in time, the sun emerged from the clouds and the entire MU community toasted the new alumni on the university terrace overlooking the city. We wish them all the best and hope to see them on Kahlenberg again soon!

MU Vienna also unveiled its latest line of university clothing and merchandise on this festive occasion, which proved to be a big hit with the fresh new grads and their families. MU t-shirts, sweaters, coffee mugs and more can be purchased by contacting jesse.alexander@modul.ac.at.
