BBA Class of 2010 Reunion
August 07, 2013
MU’s first alumni reunion was held on August 2nd to welcome the first graduating bachelor class back to Kahlenberg.
25 members of the class of 2010 came from near and far to revive memories and catch up on where life has taken them in their post-MU careers. The event was the brainchild of BBA ’10 Pia-Maria Kapounek, and was partially sponsored by MODUL Career.
The reunion began with a reception on the picturesque MU terrace, with our alumni gathering to once again enjoy the unparalleled view over Vienna in the August heat. It is a credit to our alumni’s dedication that many travelled long distances to reach their alma mater; Fabió Vilela came all the way from Brazil and Isabella Murgu from Qatar. However, we were also lucky that our alumni in Vienna made the trip up the hill to spend time with their peers from years past to share many enthusiastic greetings and great memories.
Short speeches were given by Hani El Sharkawi, head of MODUL Career, and Ayse Kocakulah, MODUL Career and Alumni Relations, welcoming our alumni back to MU and informing them of future plans including expanding and developing alumni services. For starters, the reunion will become a yearly tradition which will give all MU alumni the chance to ‘come home’. This is part of a continuing effort to bring our alumni and student communities together to form one global network, keeping both the MU ethos and community together long after graduation.
