Arab-European Leaders Forum - February 5th-9th
February 09, 2012
Hani El-Sharkawi, Head of Modul Career, will be heading to his native Egypt to participate in the Arab-European Young Leaders Forum (AELYF), held from February 5th-9th in Cairo.
This biannual gathering stems from a 2008 joint initiative of Austria and the Arab League to deal with a variety of issues and challenges facing both regions, and promoting intercultural dialogue and youth participation in society. The AEYLF focuses on young leaders of excellence and experience (between 25 and 40 years old) in the EU, Turkey and the Arab world, with the objective to enhance responsible leadership skills.
Following 2010’s successful conference in Vienna entitled "Promoting Responsible Leadership-Innovative Forms of Cross-Cultural Cooperation“, the League of Arab States and the Austrian Federal Ministry has jointly organized the second round of the AELYF under the title: “Responsible Leadership for Transformation towards Democracy and Prosperity- Innovative Forms of Cross-Cultural Cooperation.’’
Due to his own stellar achievements and experience as a leader from the Arab World, Austrian-Egyptian Hani was personally invited to contribute to the success and further development of the AEYLF. He will be exploring innovative forms of cross-cultural cooperation with other young leaders from politics, business, academia, civil society and the media.
