Aleksandra Tanackovic, MU BBA '10, MSc '13 joins staff
November 05, 2012
Aleksandra Tanackovic just can’t get enough of MODUL University Vienna – so much so that she’s joined the Recruitment and Development Office working alongside fellow MU alumnus Leopold Spiegelfeld as Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator.
Aleksandra hails from Belgrade, Serbia, and moved to Vienna in 2006 to learn German. When she found out about the new university in town that perfectly suited her interest in studying tourism and hospitality, she became part of the first BBA cohort in 2007, the year the university opened. During her studies she did an internship at Starlight Suite Hotels, working in the front office and in the food & beverage department.
She graduated with a BBA in Tourism and Hospitality in 2010, but didn’t want to end her Kahlenberg days just yet! She continued into the Master of Science in International Tourism Management in the autumn.
Alongside her studies she was active in the Wine Society, the Sustainability Committee, and was one of the first students accepted into the Student Ambassador program. It was her activities as a Student Ambassador that led her to find her niche in recruiting, representing MU at a variety of events such as the CGDC First Annual Meeting, Best Fair Vienna, and Russian Economic Gala Evening, as well as presenting MU at several private high schools in Vienna, Serbia and Croatia.
In her new position, she will expand on her tasks as a student ambassador, and work on everything connected to the promotion of the MODUL University; attracting new students, marketing of university in Austria and abroad, presentations at fairs, communication with high school representatives, and holding presentations in high schools to recruit new high quality students for our undergraduate and other programs, as well as organization of BBA Information Evenings and giving tours of the university.
She is currently completing her Masters’ thesis and working part-time until she graduates, at which time she will become a full-time staff member.
We happily welcome Aleksandra to the MU team!
